Samsung Galaxy Ultra — 3D Advertisement Motion & Product Renders

A 3D product advertisement created as part of a university animation course, focusing on product visualization, lighting, texturing, and motion design. While the base model was provided, every material, shader, and lighting setup was rebuilt from scratch to achieve a polished, commercial look. This project gave me hands-on experience in replicating real-world product ads and understanding how to present technology in a clean, premium visual style.

Project Overview

This project was one of my earliest attempts at 3D product animation. The assignment required creating a short promotional spot for an existing device — and I chose the Samsung Galaxy Ultra due to its bold geometry and recognizable design language.

Although the model itself was pre-built, I reworked all textures, materials, and lighting setups entirely from scratch. The goal was to make the phone feel premium and cinematic, similar to real advertising campaigns. I experimented with stylized color gradients, glossy metal shaders, emissive highlights, and animation pacing that emphasized the camera array and surface finishes.

The project strengthened my understanding of:

  • product-focused render pipelines

  • lighting for reflective surfaces

  • camera animation for tech advertisements

  • managing color consistency across multiple shots

  • rendering high-resolution stills and animation sequences

Even though it reflects my early animation experience, I’m still proud of the results — it represents the point where I started understanding how 3D tools could be used for motion graphics and commercial-grade visuals.

Recreated all surface materials, metal shaders, and glass elements from scratch to achieve a premium, commercial-grade finish consistent with modern smartphone advertising.

Designed clean studio lighting setups tailored for reflective surfaces, emphasizing the camera array, brushed textures, and overall device silhouette.

Animated smooth product-focused camera passes inspired by real tech advertisements, using movement to highlight key hardware features.

Tweaked textures, reflections, and gradient lighting to match Samsung’s sleek brand aesthetic while adding a stylized color direction for visual impact.

Rendered high-resolution stills and animation sequences, then composited and refined them for clarity, color balance, and presentation.

Structured the final visuals to reflect professional product ad standards: clean, minimal, and focused on premium consumer appeal.
